Offered here is an official US Open trophy produced for Tony Jacklin for his victory at Hazeltine at the 1970 US Open. The trophy is what's known as a "Player" Trophy. Since the awarding of trophies was not necessarily consistent over the years, the USGA allowed living past Champions to order Player trophies, and Tony Jacklin did just that. The trophy itself is sterling silver (hallmarked) and produced by the official USGA silversmith Nicholas Winton. The trophy itself stands 12 1/2" tall, and is housed in a magnificent silk lined case measuring 15 1/4" x 8 1/2".
