Offered here is a set of the great Byron Nelson's personally used golf clubs. The clubs come with an extraordinary 1976 letter from Byron Nelson confirming the authenticity of the clubs. In the letter, Nelson also recalls grinding the back of these irons personally in order to remove weight and make the clubs less heavy. We believe these irons were produced by MacGregor between 1935-1942. If so, that places them near the peak of Nelson's playing career, including his legendary streak of 11 consecutive wins in 1945. 

As game/tournament-used memorabilia has been rising dramatically in value in other sports, we believe that it is time for golf collectors to pay more attention to used golf clubs of some of golf's greats. The offered MacGregor Tommy Armour clubs were personally used by Byron Nelson. This set includes 2-9 irons, and 1, 2, and 3 woods.
