Lot Description  

Scarce 1807 1st Edition of Delineations of St Andrews by James Grierson. A very important book about the history of St Andrews with some very early details about golf in the town, the history of golf, and even a description of how feather golf balls are made! 

 

The full title of the book is Delineations of St Andrews: Being A Particular Account of Every Thing Remarkable in the History and Present State of the City and Ruins, The University, and Other Interesting Objects of That Ancient Ecclesiastical Capital of Scotland.
