Offered here is a circa 1904 Willie Dunn Jr. Patent white Pyralin head center shafted mallet putter. According to The Clubmaker's Art, this club was probably produced by Kempshall Mfg. out of Arlington, NJ using Dunn's patent. The clubhead is a type of vulcanized rubber known as pyralin. Overall very good condition with surface scratches to the pyralin surface. Approximately five are known to exist.

This club originates from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and this exact club was featured in his books The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 1, p. 314; TCA 2, p. 380). This club has not reached the collector market since its sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
