Offered here is a circa 1900s Willie Dunn Jr. wooden mallet putter with negative loft and a convex face. Produced by Slazenger of London & New York in the early 1900s. According to The Clubmaker's Art, this putter was patented by Dunn in 1900, and was intended to keep the ball closer to the ground to run more accurately. Overall very good condition with some marks and wear.

This club originates from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and this exact club was featured in his books The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 1, p. 254; TCA 2, p. 300). This club has not reached the collector market since its sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
