Golden Age is the world’s leading destination for golf collectibles and memorabilia. Founded in 2006, Golden Age prides itself on helping collectors buy, sell, and consign some of the most significant collectibles in golf history. We have clients in 58 different countries and have been regularly featured on ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Fox Business, Golf Digest, Golf.com, CBS Sports, CNBC, and more.

We are proud to hold nearly every meaningful golf industry price record. In 2022, we changed the golf collecting industry forever when we sold Tiger Woods’ “Tiger Slam” irons for a record-smashing $5.15 million. Other notable world records held by Golden Age include the highest Masters Green Jacket sale ($682,000 for Horton Smith’s Green Jacket); highest golf ticket sale ($600,000 private sale for 1934 Masters Tournament ticket); highest Masters Tournament Trophy sale ($523,000 for Gary Player’s 1974 Masters Trophy); highest putter sale ($393,000 for Tiger Woods’ backup putter).

Ryan Carey

Ryan Carey

Founder & President

Ryan is widely recognized as the leader of the golf collectibles industry. From founding Golden Age (then named Green Jacket Auctions) in his law school apartment, Ryan has grown Golden Age into the standard-bearer for the world of golf collecting. He has been quoted by hundreds of publications around the globe, including ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and every major golf media outlet.

Curtis Loop

Curtis Loop

Vice President, Business Operations

Curtis is responsible for operations, consignments, and business planning. He joined Golden Age in January of 2022 from Discovery, Inc. where he worked on strategy and operations for their global streaming service GOLFTV and Golf Digest. Curtis played golf at Georgetown University and recently graduated with an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Tara (Carey) Schuppig

Tara (Carey) Schuppig

General Manager

Despite being Ryan’s younger sister, Tara is the unquestioned adult in the room. When Ryan and Curtis are conveniently unavailable on a nice Spring day, Tara will be the one to keep things running smoothly. Tara has multiple degrees from the University of Notre Dame, and was Captain of her high school golf team – a fact that her father points out to Ryan with annoying frequency.

Larry Maskin

Photographer/Office Manager

Larry’s passion is photography, which led us to him several years ago. Even when other auction houses paid little attention to photography, Larry helped Golden Age make the leap towards some of the industry’s highest quality images in auction lots. To him, a finely-milled Scotty Cameron putter is true “industrial art,” and he wants the photographs on Golden Age’s website to reflect the beauty of the item in front of him.

Jeff Ellis

Jeff Ellis

Golf Antiques Expert

Jeff Ellis is known all over the world as the foremost expert in golf antiques, especially golf clubs and balls. He has famously written multiple best-selling books on the subject. This includes The Clubmaker’s Art, which is widely considered one of the greatest golf books ever produced. As a collector, Jeff assembled the greatest golf club collection in history, which was sold by Sotheby’s to great fanfare in 2007.

Bill "Vog" Vogeney

Bill “Vog” Vogeney

Scotty Cameron Expert

Vog is known all over the world as the foremost expert in Scotty Cameron putters. He co-authored The Art of Putters: The Scotty Cameron Story back in 2001. Since that time, he has assembled an unrivaled collection of rare Scotty Cameron putters that has earned him supercollector status in the Cameron world. And perhaps most importantly, for the past couple of decades, Vog has been THE voice of the Scotty Cameron collector community – always willing to educate and inform collectors across the globe.
