**Photo-matching is all the rage in sports memorabilia right now - causing items to be worth even 10x the value of a non-photo-matched item. Well, we don't quite have a perfect match yet, but we have located 2 photographs of Sam Snead using a Calamity Jane putter like the offered putter. Both photos date to 1937 - one from the 1937 US Open, and the other during a tournament in Nassau.

Offered here is Sam Snead's actual tournament-used Calamity Jane putter. Yes, the most famous putter in history that was actually used by one of golf's greatest Champions. Many golf fans are familiar with the late-in-life Sam Snead often celebrated during Masters Tournaments in the 1990s and early 2000s (Snead passed away in 2002). But Sam Snead turned professional back in 1934. He even participated in the same Masters Tournament field as Bobby Jones on 9 occasions.

This Spalding Kro-Flite Calamity Jane putter has a pyratone shaft and was produced in the 1930s. Sam Snead saved this putter until his death in 2002, and its eventual sale alongside his other golf possessions in 2013. While we may never know in which tournaments Sam Snead used this Calamity Jane, one has to think it was something special to remain in his collection for the better part of a century.
